Ghetto Backyard Update

It's been a week since the rusty nail incident. Foot is fine, thanks - but my itchy red tetanus shot still hurts. Well tonight, we found yet another crazy thing in the yard. We were working on the clearing up the nasty myrtle/ivy/Virginia creeper project. John started digging and we found some kind of tunnel! John thinks it's some kind of irrigation canal, but I don't think so since there's a canal in the back of the yard. I personally think Fate put it there to drive me crazy. John started to dig around the thing only to break up part of the concrete on the buried under dirt/sort-of patio. And yet another discovery...there was more brick under the concrete!!! For crying out loud, I know I live in the Brickyard area, but this is nuts. I should really take a picture to give you some idea of the crazy making, but it's dark out and I'm too exhausted. I used muscles tonight I didn't even know I had. I'm not sure what we're going to do with this tunnel -- or where it ends (creepy?), so I'll update you with the progress. You're dying with anticipation, I know.
