I need advice. And I can't go into too much detail. Basically, my publisher is a procrastinator and I'm a planner. But he's the owner so I really have no say. I spent 13 hours working yesterday. Things could've been put in place earlier and we could have avoided being 5 hours late getting our last files to the printer. Cable saved me last night and bad parenting aside, Katie thought she hit the jackpot getting to watch so much TV.
I'm not going anywhere and I really do love my job, but I obviously need to have the "coming to Jesus" talk with my boss. It's delicate, because it's confronting his work style vs. mine. So, if you have any suggestions, please let me know.
Before I prepare to hibernate for most of the day, here's a sneak peak of my darling nephew on the cover. This makes it worth it.

Oh Mitchell! How darling is he with his little lollipop? Cute, cute, cute.
About talking to your boss, eeeh. I don't have much advice in that I have no job. But I wish you luck. You are an asset to him, so he will no doubt take seriously the things you say. It's just whether or not he can change, and I hope that he can. Although for Katie's sake, maybe not. Because nothin' says lovin' like 10 hours of the Disney Channel. My kids know that...and I have no job and therefore no excuse. Good luck! I know it will go well.
The mitchman is so awesome!! What a cute cover. I'm going to get a whole stack from the library.
Not sure on the job advice. Maybe you could give him a list of demands, Dwight Schrute style- with a few displays of weapons and karate moves?? maybe not. Call me and let's chat about details!
